Small Estate Administration

A small estate administration is a form of probate that authorizes the transfer of assets of a limited amount from the decedent’s estate to the beneficiaries or heirs-at-law without having to undergo the entire probate process. This type of administration is most commonly used for estates that consist of a vehicle and/or bank accounts.

In order to qualify for a small estate affidavit, the total value of the estate must be under $50,000.00.
